Lander Group names Kriha to the position
of sales director
Company’s unique sales function
earns high marks from customers
Minneapolis—The Lander Group, an award-winning
urban development firm based in Minneapolis, has announced the promotion
of Tony Kriha from the position of Sales Manager to Sales Director
to better reflect the role he plays as a Lander Group employee.
Kriha directs the efforts of the company’s internal sales
and marketing team which is responsible for the sales and promotion
of all Lander and Lander Sherman homes. Lander Sherman is a partnership
between Lander Group and Saint Paul-based Sherman Associates.
The model of using an employee sales team
rather than hiring outside real estate representatives to “handle
sales” breaks from tradition in the development community.
“By staffing our models and our sales offices with our own
employees who have been involved in the development of the homes
from concept to completion, we are able to offer our customers a
high level of background, design and construction information that
outsiders just wouldn’t have,” said Kriha. “This
has paid off, both with the relationships we’ve been able
to establish with our customers and in the number of homes we’ve
sold. Our two most recent projects, Midtown Lofts in Minneapolis
and 9th Street lofts in Saint Paul are each 85% sold. Printer’s
Row in downtown Saint Paul, which is scheduled for completion in
late summer, is selling well. We’ve just released the second
building,” he said.
When surveyed, Lander Group buyers have used
terms like informed, customer-oriented, credible and ethical when
describing the Lander Sales team. They consistently respond that
their experience working with the Lander sales team was positive.
Kriha is a 1990 graduate of the University
of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business
Administration. Along with his wife and two-year-old daughter, he
lives in Minneapolis’ Kenwood neighborhood, where much of
his free time is consumed by his personal development project, the
renovation of the turn-of-the-century home in which he resides.
The Lander Group specializes in producing
distinctive, high-quality multi-family urban housing that reflect
and strengthen the neighborhoods in which they are built. Many of
its projects are developed independently, others are developed under
the umbrella of Lander Sherman, a collaborative effort between The
Lander Group and the Saint Paul-based Sherman Associates.

completed projects are 301 Kenwood Parkway and West River Commons
in Minneapolis and 9th Street Lofts, Dakota on the Park and Essex
on the Park in Saint Paul. Current projects include Midtown Lofts
in Minneapolis’ Uptown area and Printer’s Row, Market
Lofts and West Side Flats in Saint Paul.
