Essex on the Park includes 38 townhomes and flats fronting Wacouta Commons Park and sharing a courtyard with nearby Sibley Park Apartments.

Essex on the Park is part of Phase I of Lander Sherman's development in the North Quadrant of downtown Saint Paul, now called Wacouta Commons. It was followed by Dakota on the Park, Sibley Court Apartments, 9th Street Lofts, Printer's Row, and the future Pressman Lofts.
